Regularly replacing your tires is crucial to maintain your vehicle’s safety and performance. Tires naturally wear down over time due to factors such as individual driving habits, road conditions, and tire quality. Generally, experts recommend that you replace your tires at a minimum of every six years and no later than ten years - even if they appear to be in good condition. However, it might be necessary to replace them sooner. Here are some telltale signs that it’s time to replace your tires:
By keeping an eye on any warning signs, you can keep your tires in optimal condition. Regular tire checks and replacing them when necessary will help prevent accidents, enhance your vehicle's performance, and extend your vehicle’s lifespan. Longest lasting tire on my 4X4 vans. Michelin has the best tires if I take care of them. It's not the best in mud or snow however it sure does well in my off highway application. Mahalo Michelin
These came on my 2018 Tundra. Nearing 75,000 miles and still have plenty of tread left! 4 wheel and snow handling is great for a AT tire. Tow a 6,000 lb and 8,000 lb trailer just fine. I've been through a lot of truck tires...these have been the best!
After only 25,000 kms these tires started to show excessive wear. I take care of my tires and rotate every 5K, so this is just not acceptable considering what you pay for the name. We used Michelin exclusively for our fleet at work for years and had no issues until the last 5 years. It is the same for several of my friends who have purchased new trucks with these tires being OEM. The tread is way to soft or something. Michelin is just a name now, there are much more affordable options out there that will outlast and outperform. Also surprisingly lackluster performance in snow/mud.
Do not buy this tire if you have a 3/4 ton truck or higher. Premature dry rot in sidewalls and excessive tread wear.
Original tires that came with the truck almost 70K with tread left.
Tires have worn well but in a year and a half I’ve had 10 flats. Gravel roads destroy these things. Hold my breath while driving on these. They’re quiet, but just way too whimpy to be a contender in the off road tire market.
Quiet ride and long lasting tread wear. Excellent stability and traction. Only the wet traction could be improved. This is my fourth set on a truck with 336k miles. Hoping truck lasts long enough to need another set!
Closing in on 75K miles and 8 years on these beauties on my Super Duty Crew. Still have a full 3/16" of tread. Will buy a new set in the spring. Kept them rotated & balanced every 10K. Tire excellence!
I have 115,000 Miles on the Michelin LXT AT2 tires. I ran them fine in the last Minnesota winter. These have been the best tire I have owned. They plow through snow, not bad on ice, stop on a dime on pavement or gravel. On gravel you have good control and grab and you do not get thrown around as much as the LTX MS.(Also good) The LTX AT2's are excellent in Rain. I have been through moderate mud 6" deep, no problem. These ties are quiet even though I have 115,000 miles on them. I cannot think of anything negative about the tires. If you want a great tire, this is it, and worth every penny.
Replaced the original BFG's which rode hard and slipped in rain with these tires. Best tires I have had. After 48K miles they are still good.
A good wearing tire.
I have 49000 on this set. Good consistent performing tire. Quiet too.
I bought these tires between the 2009 - 2010 time frame. These tires surpass all other All Terrain tires that I've owed. They out perform the BFG's that I had on my truck hands down. My next truck will have a set of these A/T2's. Sincerely, JT
Love the Michelin brand. I feel like the tires take care of my truck, most definitely will be buying again and again...and again.
I would buy these tires again.
Don't know where to begin. Best tires ever. Rain, mud, snow, ice, towing a heavy load they never missed a beat over 80,000 miles on this set. I didn't rotate them at all. 4th winter season they've seen. Just now considering replacing them.
I purchased these tires for my Explorer and had 60,000 KM on them when I sold the Explorer and they still had lots of tread on them and they were handling the road conditions as if they were new. I will buy them again when I need new tires for my other vehicles.
This is my second set. 1st set 85,000 miles. Hope to get the same out of these.
I replaced the stock tires of BF Goodrich - Longtrail Radial with these LTX AT2. A night and day difference as far as wear and handling goes.
Love them.
Like having tracks. Unstoppable.
Good tires and they last a while, too.
Good tires and good service.
Best tire I ever owned. Will never buy anything but Michelin.
Good driving but not full 60,000 miles. Not too happy.
Best tires I have ever had on vehicle. Best ride, best wearablity. all worth every penny
